No, I didn't get an honest thank-you from anybody for the many hours I volunteered at church. However, there was somebody in the youth group who had an outside connection to hockey. So my thank-you came from the game of hockey... exactly something "worldly" the phony preachers preached against.
It's been nice to be free to be myself (for a change), win championships and have good memories...
Instead of being surrounded by phonies, control freaks and Bible-bullies... it's much nicer to be surrounded by hockey players.
The cups of victory always stand, while lame Bible-thumping crumbles to sand!!!!
